Like to Watch: Our Top 15 Porn Parodies

Art, Film, Sex March 17, 2015

Porn parodies, a once cheap sub-genre of the adult movie market, are big business these days. Vivid and Hustler are now cranking out four to six of the movies a year and timing their releases to coincide with the mainstream films hit theaters. With budgets rivaling mainstream production houses, these porn parodies are filled with expensive special effects, real plots, actors that can (sometimes) act and quality costumes that even hard-core fans find authentic.

Erika Lust: Changing the Porn We Watch

Art, Film, Sex January 23, 2015

Her interest in erotica was sparked at an early age while viewing porn for the very first time at a girlfriend’s sleepover. After a few minutes of watching, Erika felt disenchanted by the lack of imagination, story line and unrealistic characters. The let-down happened again while studying Political Science at the University of Lund, where she watched porn with her then-boyfriend. This film has a similar effect, and Erika gave up on watching porn again.

Rule 34: The Edge of Fantasy

Sex August 15, 2014

Warning: We’re going down the rabbit hole, so hold on to your over-sized top hat. Speaking of top hats, did you know there is a porn of that? There is a porn for everything. If you can dream it, odds are that someone out there not only has had the same thought, but also taken the time to record or illustrate a porn of that idea.

That is Rule 34.

jessica_rabbit_fan_art_02We like to think of it as a good thing. As blogger Cory Doctorow stated, “Rule 34 can be thought of as a kind of indictment of the Web as a cesspit of freaks, geeks, and weirdos, but seen through the lens of cosmopolitanism, which bespeaks a certain sophistication—a gourmet approach to life.”

The internet has shown us that no one is alone. You may like to watch busty women crushing peaches in their bosom, and someone out there likes the same thing. And who doesn’t want to see that saucy minx Velma get it on with Fred from Scooby Doo. We are all connected! Porn can bring us together!

So let’s test this theory. We racked our brains to find some of the oddest, funniest ways this rule plays out. Here are a few of our favorites.

Geometry Porn

Did you see how that triangle was begging for it? Geometry porn is a fascinating idea that tries to simpify gentalia and sexual acts into something to so abstract that it appeals to pure erotisism rather than a aesthetic or emotional appeal. They must be on to something because Apple rejected their app as being obscene.

Plane Porn

XMOwKWhat so weird about people having sex on planes, you may be thinking. The Mile High Club has a long history in urban myths. But that is not quite what this porn is about. It’s about the actual planes having sex. These well endowed 757’s and curvy Fighter Jets sure do know how to make the friendly skies even friendlier.

Skydiving Pornskydiving-sex-500x373

This one is great, not only for its surprise factor, but because it must require balls of steel, so to speak. Most of us can’t even imagine jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, much less about how to keep up the loving while spinning through air.

Zomie Porn

zombie-boobs-10-500x511You know when you are watching The Walking Dead and you think, “Man, that undead horror feasting on those intestines is really hot!” Well, somebody did because we have been given the gift of zombie porn. After seeing that these zombies prefer other parts of the body rather than brains, we can’t help but think maybe there is an upside to that virus that wiped out humanity after all.

Cereal Porn

2364-300-400

On the up side, soaking in that much milk is probably great for your skin.

Our fantasies, no matter how off-the-wall, can present us a wider view of ourselves. And porn can help you and your partner grow and learn to share your intimate thoughts. In fact, a study in 2007 suggested that porn can help lead a more fulfilling sex life and a general better quality of life for men and women. We’re not suggesting going to such extremes as to try and break Rule 34, but keeping an open mind and heart is always going to lead to better sex.

HUMP! Film Festival Comes to Atlanta This Weekend!

Film May 28, 2014

The HUMP! Film Festival is coming to Atlanta on May 30th! Marketed as an amateur porn film festival, HUMP! was established by Dan Savage in 2005 to enable individuals and couples to explore and share their sexuality through filmmaking.

Since 2005 the HUMP! Film Festival has challenged ordinary people from all over the Pacific Northwest to become temporary, weekend porn stars by making their very own five-minute dirty movies for a chance to win big cash prizes—and they did not disappoint! The resulting short films run the gamut of sexual styles: straight, gay, lesbian, transgender—every color in the sexual rainbow—and some we never knew existed.

“We bill HUMP! as an amateur porn festival,” says festival curator Dan Savage. “But it’s more than that. It’s rare for people to watch porn that takes them outside their comfort zones—it’s rare for people to watch porn that, if they were home alone in front of the computer, they wouldn’t choose to click on and watch. At HUMP! straight people watch gay porn, vanilla people watch kinky porn, gay people watch lesbian porn. And people laugh, they gasp, sometimes they cover their eyes. But at the end of every film people clap and cheer. It’s moving and wonderful and newcomers don’t expect it. The whole festival is a celebration of sexual diversity.”

HUMP! films are funny, thought-provoking, sad, artistic, outrageous, and almost overwhelmingly sexy—because they’re real. And they’re real because they were created and performed by sex-positive people, just like you. The festival will showcase 20 of the hottest HUMP films that are sure to make you laugh, squeal, and marvel at the broad (and creative) range of human sexuality.
