Who is Jaiya?

Some says she’s a cross between Dr. Ruth, Lady Gaga and a Yogi! Jaiya is one of the most progressive and well educated sexual wellness experts out there, and she has a great sense of humor! She works with couples and singles to help them overcome intimacy issues, deepening connection and communication, leading to the creation of more fulfilling relationships.

Jaiya holds certifications as a Somatic Sexologist, Sexological Bodyworker, and Tantra Teacher. When Random House needed their newest sex expert they sought out Jaiya and she co-authored the book "Red Hot Touch" with her co-teacher Jon Hanauer. Together they also created New World Sex Education and their best-selling, award winning DVDs.

She strives to eradicate sexual shame and invites those she works with to explore how much pleasure they can possibly experience. With a background in theatrical arts, she brings fun, creativity, and sexiness to her teaching. You may have seen her as a repeat guest on Playboy’s #1 rated show “Foursome”, on "The Tyra Banks Show" or Discovery Heath’s “Strange Sex”.

Jaiya recently dove into a new frontier of sensuality. She took her own life experience of becoming a mother, and she used the opportunity to aim for an orgasmic birth. It was quite an amazing experience, but after having a baby, she found her sex life needed help. After reclaiming her own sexuality and recovering from major pelvic floor trauma, she is now helping women and couples to reclaim their sexuality after having children.

Jaiya is currently conducting research and working on her Ph.D. She lives in Los Angeles with two amazing partners and her beautiful son.
