My earliest memories of drawing were dinosaurs, for years it seems. Then at around 12, it was just women from then on. I am self-taught and hold some sort of pride in this feat. The way I see it, I am always going to be evolving and learning with art, and I welcome this process. Some would argue the objectification of women in my paintings, but as you can see all my ladies are strong confident goddesses, as they should be.
I admire the beauty and strength of women and feel the need to pay tribute by painting them. It’s nice to have a ritual of sorts when I paint and go through the motions of a new creation each time. Even when I body paint them, they seem to transform into these glowing sirens of prowess and self-aware beauty that has really always been there. All hail these makers and breakers of hearts, I say. I plan on doing everything artistic I can get my hands on at the risk of spreading myself too thin. Something cracked open inside of me recently, and I feel the need to permeate art and my love for it something awful now and surround myself with fellow artists to absorb and hopefully inspire. It’s what I’ve always wanted to do since I was a fledgling artist.
