10th Annual Fetish Con Tampa

In the next few days, Tampa is going to be overrun with fetish enthusiasts, models and performers, producers, and exhibitors. Granted, the town is used to seeing pirates everywhere, but this is a whole new ball game.

Thursday, August 5 through Sunday, August 8, Tampa will host the 10th Annual Fetish Con. Fetish Con is slightly different than your normal “fetish weekend“. Fetish Con is considered a trade show, and it focuses more on the business side of fetish.

With eleven guests of honor, including Fetish Con spokesmodel Stacy Burke, and some of my favorite fetish models/performers, Rubberdoll (check her out in Liberator’s Backstage Film section) and Angela Ryan–both of whom I’ve seen perform here in Atlanta at Secretroom events—this is going to be an awesome weekend. Other featured appearances include NYC actress and model Suzi Lorraine and legendary freak show master Reverend B Dangerous. Famed comic book artist and writer, George Perez, will also be in attendance and will once again be the Master of Ceremonies for the Super Heroine Showdown IV on Saturday, August 07, 2010 in the main trade show exhibitor area.

There will also be a TON of models and photographers in attendance. If you’re a photographer, you may contact the models listed on this page to arrange for a photoshoot. This is a once-in-a-year opportunity to be surrounded by some of the hottest fetish models in the nation, all decked out in latex and leather fetishwear. Professional photographers can arrange paid shoots, while amateur photographers can set themselves up with new models and work on building each other’s portfolios. Liberator is working with photographer Normac LaDow who will be shooting models at Fetish Con wearing Liberator Latex Couture, and model Mistress Kellie will also be in attendance posing in her wardrobe of Liberator Latex. So stay tuned for the results of those photoshoots! They’re going to be amazing!

This event has it all. Like most fetish weekends, there will be demonstrations and workshops. There will be several demonstrations lasting approximately 60 minutes and will cover topics such as bondage, flogging, crossdressing, and even tickling! The workshop series are scheduled for 90 minute sessions on Friday and Saturday. Hands-on workshops will have participants engaging in cupping, role-play, S&M, and bondage. The trade show aspect comes into play with the lecture series, which will last 90 minutes or more. Professionals will lecture on modeling and business, 18 U.S.C. 2257, the Federal Record Keeping Statute, and other legal issues. These sessions will all be incredibly entertaining and informative, so make sure you plan your schedule accordingly! Some of these items will overlap.

It wouldn’t be a fetish event without the dungeon and parties! A private dungeon play space will be open every night of the con. Secretroom will also be in attendance giving Fetish Con-goers two amazing Vamps and Vixens Balls. Friday night is Devil’s Night in Hell, and Saturday is Oriental Orgasm. These are the only officially sanctioned after parties of Fetish Con! For those outside of the southeast that have never gotten to attend a Secretroom event, you’re in for a real treat! These events are packed with fetish performances and special guests, great music, and beautiful people. Break out the latex and get ready to party!

In addition to all of the guests, special appearances, models, and photographers, there will also be several exhibitors in attendance. Stop by their booths to learn more about their business, and perhaps do a little shopping while you’re there.
